Western Power Meter Box Locks

Keys to meter box locks or Wester Power meter box locks in Perth are a commonly forgotten item until the day comes when you suddenly need them in a hurry and they are nowhere to be seen. Often the locks themselves are damaged during construction or simply seize up from lack of use and exposure to the elements.

We can make keys to existing metal meter box locks or if your current lock is not keyed to operate correctly on the Western Power master key we can provide you with a new lock that is. As an added bonus all new locks come with 2 new keys included.

Western Australian Services (WAS) locks can be accessed by Western Power, Synergy, Water Corporation of WA and Alinta Gas. Learn more here. This means that meter readers do not require a viewing window if a WAS lock is installed.

If you’d like to purchase a new WAS lock the locks themselves are $55.00ea inc GST plus the cost of installation by a licensed locksmith (we do not post parts).

  1. Hi regarding the locks these meter box lids seem quite flimsy is one lock at the bottom sufficient or could you fit one on each corner

    • Hi Glenn 🙂
      A single lock is the normal option for Meter Boxes as they are designed more to prevent tampering rather than break-ins.
      If you’re worried or are having security problems then more locks can be installed as long as they are also Western Power master keyed to allow services access as per normal.

      We don’t supply or install windows as they are not required when you have a Western Power master keyed lock installed.
      The Western Power master keyed locks themselves are $47.30ea and come with with 2 keys.
      Our service call and labour rates are listed here.
      Installation time is normally around 30 minutes.
