Western Power Meter Box Locks

Keys to meter box locks or Wester Power meter box locks in Perth are a commonly forgotten item until the day comes when you suddenly need them in a hurry and they are nowhere to be seen. Often the locks themselves are damaged during construction or simply seize up from lack of use and exposure to the elements.

We can make keys to existing metal meter box locks or if your current lock is not keyed to operate correctly on the Western Power master key we can provide you with a new lock that is. As an added bonus all new locks come with 2 new keys included.

Western Australian Services (WAS) locks can be accessed by Western Power, Synergy, Water Corporation of WA and Alinta Gas. Learn more here. This means that meter readers do not require a viewing window if a WAS lock is installed.

If you’d like to purchase a new WAS lock the locks themselves are $55.00ea inc GST plus the cost of installation by a licensed locksmith (we do not post parts).

    I have two standard meter boxes on my property; one near the road and oe on the house which contains the meter. I would like to fit locks on both of them.Can you let me know the price please?

    As we live in the country, would our meter reading lady be able to access the meter box, or would we have to have a spare key for her.

      She should have a Western Power master key which will grant her access without you needing to provide her with a key.

    It arrived in the post really quick and was super easy to install with only an adjustable spanner like you said.
    I used the existing lock’s turn tail and it fit perfectly right in place.
    The meter box guy has even used it already with his key no problem.

      Yes, sometimes it is easier to reuse the existing tail piece if it has been custom bent or cut to fit the edge of your meter box.
